Learn the ABC's of social media marketing

Mindset Switch: Social Media is a Craft!

It's time to change your way of thinking. Long gone are the days that social media for business is something that your family member or friend can help you out with in their spare time. Sure, they might certainly have a knack for it and we applaud them, but can they be there for you every single day creating and maintaining an online presence? If the answer is no, you need to do more because you're holding yourself back from finding success. There are people out there that need your services and they don't know about you yet!

You can reach your audience organically, which is where the day-to-day content with all of the posts, stories, and engagement comes into play with a social media manager on your side. You can also reach your target audience with paid advertising on these different platforms.

In Part 4, we're covering P-T.
Keep scrolling for a deeper dive into these industry terms which should get you thinking about...
- What platform should I choose to advertise on?
- What is a good monthly budget?
- How can I improve my relevance score?
- Am I getting qualified leads?
- Am I using social proof to entice these leads?

We need to evolve and learn to work on all different platforms in order to reach our audiences effectively.
You can advertise on so many of these platforms, but you need to know where your target audience is before you do so - research & choose wisely! Don't spend your precious marketing dollars advertising on TikTok when your audience is primarily on Facebook.

There are leads, and then there are qualified leads. As a business owner, you want to ensure you are optimizing your marketing efforts to attract qualified leads. A lead can be really anyone who has interacted with your company, but they may not actually convert to a customer.
Ex: In some cases, an unqualified lead can be characterized by being unclear in what they are looking for as a solution or your offerings are not in their budget.

Relevance Scores in Facebook Ad Manager are crucial because they help determine your cost per click and how frequently Facebook is showing your ad.

Your score can actually fluctuate as well! If it's not performing as well you'd like, think about retargeting or switching it up to see what works and what doesn't.

Let's say you begin posting reviews and testimonials to your Instagram stories each week, also making sure to save them in a testimonial highlight. Your prospective consumer who was once on the fence is continually reading how all of these clients made the best decision when they chose your company. In turn, it probes the lead to subconsciously think, "This person must be correct!" and they jump on board, too!

If you hear someone say, "Look in the thread" or "Reply in thread" this is what they mean! It's just a way of referencing all of the comments in a conversation. Are there any other social media terms you've heard of, but want to learn more about?
